A Collection of Progressive Rock
Although I am a fan of progressive rock, I never understood clearly its divisions. I consulted internet, especially the site http://www.progarchives.com/ , I researched for a long time all the bands I could find. The result was this compilation / collection of about 300 songs, containing all sorts of variations of progressive rock with the most diverse bands. From Indonesia to Greece, from Portugal to Japan, I tried to include all types, all nations playing a wonderful progressive rock. All tracks were obtained from the website http://www.progarchives.com/ from 2000 to 2006, and reorganized (the tracks) in 31 albuns. Enjoy!
Some types of Progressive Rock: Crossover Prog, Ecletic Prog, Heavy Prog, Krautrock, Neo-Prog, Prog folk, Progressive Metal, Proto-Prog, Symphonic Prog, Psychodelic/Space Rock, and many more. If you want to be an expert, you could begin with this site ( http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive-rock.asp ).
Some bands that I included on this collection: (Alusa Fallax, Amazing Blondel, Clepsydra, After Crying, Medina Azahara, Algamas Tradgard, Devil Doll, Gryphon, Aufklarung, Pierrot Lunaire, Planet X, Hagen, Fragil, Osanna, Nueva Era, Pollen, Walpurgis, Cressida, Argent, Allas Eye, The Mars Volta, Blackfield, Hamonium, Egg, Neuschwanstein, Picchio Dal Pozzo, Kaipa, New Trolls, French TV, and many more).
Some tracks are really amazing, some are curious, but it is really a good example of what happen in the 80's, 90's and 2000's with Progressive Rock all around the world. There are also some tracks from the 70's...
